Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra (BIT Mesra; Hindi: बिरला प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान, मेसरा), is an autonomous engineering and technology oriented institute of higher education located in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. It is a Deemed University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. Since the inception of main campus in Mesra (Ranchi) in 1955, BIT has opened extension centres in Lalpur (Ranchi), Allahabad, Kolkata, Noida, Jaipur, Chennai, Patna and Deoghar, and overseas extension centres in Bahrain, Muscat (Oman), Ras al-Khaimah (UAE) and Mauritius.

Pay Scale : Rs. 8000/- per month
Project Title : Analyzing the structure and performance of Hindustani Classical music through Statistics
Qualifications : Master’s degree in Mathematics/ Statistics (min. 55%) Or BE/B. Tech in any discipline.
Desirable: Knowledge of Hindustani Classical music
